Kelsey Bentley is an Atlanta native and has enjoyed from a young age studying with accomplished musicians in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra horn section such as Richard Deane and Susan Welty. Ms. Bentley is currently the fourth horn of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. She received her Master of Music degree in Horn Performance under the tutelage of Professor Michael Thornton at the University of Colorado Boulder College of Music. Ms. Bentley was a graduate teaching assistant and member of the fellowship wind quintet at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her Bachelor of Music degree was earned cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Randy Gardner and Elizabeth Freimuth. Ms. Bentley has attended music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Chautauqua Institution, Brevard Music Festival and the Bay View Music Festival. She has made orchestral appearances with orchestras including the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. When she is not playing her horn, Ms. Bentley enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, watching baseball and playing Minecraft.
