About the KSYO Travel Fund
The KSYO has been invited to compete in the 2018 National Orchestra Festival, a part of the American String Teacher's Association annual National Conference, held in Atlanta, GA, in 2018. The Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra is hosting multiple fundraising events to support the KSYO Travel Fund, which will allow students to perform across the United States and perhaps abroad. The KSYO will travel to Atlanta, March 8 – 10, to compete, where our students will also have the opportunity to attend an Atlanta Symphony Orchestra concert as well as meet ASO musicians with East Tennessee ties. This is the first time in the KSYO’s 44-year history that the orchestra has traveled to perform.
