Anne Cochran, vocalist
“After All These Years,” took Anne Cochran to Madison Square Garden with Stars on Ice and on to NBC’s Golden Moment. The hit title also sums up her ongoing collaboration with accomplice Jim Brickman. For more than a decade, Cochran has vocalized with Brickman on stages across the country–including Carnegie Hall–as a twosome, in the company of other guest stars…or a dazzling symphony orchestra. The chemistry is always there. She is a frequent co-host to his syndicated radio show, has shone on several Brickman cruises and appeared on all four of his PBS Specials, her personal favorite being Beautiful World, taped in Niagara Falls. She goes solo at NYC's Birdland, and with her own band at Cleveland’s Cain Park or Nighttown. She has been known to deliver a stirring “Star-Spangled Banner” at the NCAA Women’s Championship Basketball Final, perform at Hollywood’s CAMIE Awards, and co-host a breast cancer research gala benefit with comedian Bob Newhart. Whatever the setting, her honeyed, earthy alto never fails to bring audiences to their feet.
To savor Anne’s magic on CD, sample just-out Two of Hearts, a collection of beautifully styled love song duets, performed with tenor Benjamin Utecht. One of her favorite tracks, Titanic’s stirring “My Heart Will Go On”, also features Brickman on piano. Close To Me, a diamond-cut jewel of all-original tracks, including “Wishing Well,” co-written and recorded with Brickman. From there, you will simply have to choose from Cover Girl and its great 60s cover songs, upbeat Lucky Girl, and nostalgic All My Best –featuring “Destiny” in duet with Donny Osmond!
