Bill Brewer


Bill Brewer is Associate Professor of Music and Music Program Coordinator at Pellissippi State Community College where he directs two Choral Ensembles, serves as lead Voice teacher and teaches classes in Theory, Music Appreciation and Conducting. A native of Tennessee, Bill received a bachelor of music degree from Carson-Newman College and a Master of Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Under his direction, the auditioned choir from Pellissippi State has toured in Poland, Hungary, Germany and France, where on two different occasions they were accepted to perform a concert at the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Under his leadership as Music Program Coordinator, Pellissippi State recently became the fourth community college in the nation to achieve the status of being an All-Steinway school. Bill received the designation of Outstanding Full-Time Faculty at Pellissippi State Community College for 2012. He serves as assistant conductor of the Knoxville Choral Society and conductor of the Knoxville Chamber Chorale. Professor Brewer is a frequent adjudicator and clinician for choral festivals.
