Boris Van Druff


Boris Van Druff, tenor, is a second year graduate student in voice performance at the University of Tennessee. He most recently appeared as Pirelli in the Clarence Brown Theater/KSO production of Sweeney Todd. He has appeared with the UT Opera Theater as Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro and as Toby in Menotti’s The Medium. He also appeared as Gastone in La Traviata and Benvolio in Romeo et Juliette last season with Knoxville Opera. A native of Western New York, Boris earned his bachelor’s degree at SUNY Fredonia, performing roles such as the Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Tamino in The Magic Flute, and Rodolfo in La Bohème. Upcoming performances include Rodolfo in La Bohème and the Male Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia with the University of Tennessee Opera Theater, and also Trin in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West with Knoxville Opera.
