Amy is a soprano from scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee. She received her MM in Voice Performance from Florida State University where she studied with tenor Stanford Olsen, after receiving her BM in Voice Performance at Lee University in her home state of Tennessee. Favorite roles include Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, Thérèe in Les Mamelles de Tiresias, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. Amy’s sensitive performance as Lucia in the Florida State Opera’s production of The Rape of Lucretia contributed to its winning first place in the 2010 National Opera Association’s Opera Production Competition.
Amy’s most recent honors include performing as a Regional Finalist in the 2012 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, as a finalist in both the 2010 and 2011 Orpheus Vocal Competition, and as a featured semi-finalist in the 2010 American Traditions Competition at the 2010 Savannah Music Festival. Amy’s recording of Romberg’s Blossom Time with The Ohio Light Opera, the first complete recording of the work, will be released in the fall of 2012.
